My Instagram addiction is a little ridiculous, but (as always) the easiest way to update people on life. I had 4 paid freelance gigs this month and am working on catching up on some work since I’ve got so much on my plate! Here’s a quick Insta-Update for those of you following along:
– The Trailer Park Lounge in Chelsea, NYC: Home of some good turkey burgers, tots better than Sonic (can you imagine?), Velvet Elvis, faux palm trees, and some of my friends’ favorite Mango Margs.
– Taylor Martin Group design firm. My friends Nathan and Jay have one of the most beautiful workspaces in the area that they open to the public every first Friday of the month with wine and hors d’oeuvres along with their retail space, Obelisk Home.
– Stereotypical shot from the Ozark Empire Fair.
– Confession – for 15 minutes each day, I look like a bearded Jamaican woman.
– A shoot I did at the Ozark Empire Fair. Model: Latasha Grunden. More professional work coming soon at royalcreativestudios.com
– Walking downtown we see a lot of displays – some work, but most don’t. This one was a fun vintage set up by Vintage Vice with a little creative lighting I enjoyed. Insert selfie here.
– Make-your-own-salsa makes my heart beat to a Gloria Estefan-like conga, and this treat was found at Prima’s in Chesterfield Village.
– Cooler weather means it’s time to join the Cardi Party. Oxfords. Skinnies. Color Pops. Selfies. These were a few of my favorite things…
– Bathroom selfie in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC … Took me awhile to post this, but when there’s good lighting, you take advantage, right? I’m not conceited at all… :\
– Internal decor from a shoot at Nomad World Products in Downtown Springfield, MO. Amazing products, eclectic taste, fun owners.
– Breakfast and too much Scissor Sisters.
– New bidness cards – keep an eye out.
– Some days I miss being able to just grab a slice on the go.
– My new mug at work – just call me Kitty.
– A celebration at work, graduating a new class. Feel free to check out my day job – PMTC.
– Welcome back, students! 5 years is too long – I’m ready to finally call it quits at MSU, but gosh it sure is pretty sometimes.
– The freshman always start with high hopes and two-wheeled dreams. It won’t be long until we see these locked up to never be removed…
– Creating refreshments for my students. I’m just a watermelon balla – shot calla! Up next, edible arrangements!
– Night time jokes and conversations lead to pranks and fun time – this was our creation at El Maquey – my favorite mexican place here in town. We also were able to snap this and this. Attractive, I know…
– One last selfie – National Beard Day 2012 – a creative edit with personal meaning that I can reveal at a later date.
Other updates – Online classes will be the death of me, coffee shops are getting used to me becoming a permanent resident, and I’m loving picking up freelance work. For more info and looks into the daily life, check out the links above – more will come soon.
